PGDM Courses: Various Types Explained

PGDM is of course, one of the most lucrative management courses out there, and today everyone wants it for themselves. PGDM in Ahmedabad, in Pune, in Bangalore, or any place - there are so many people busy trying to clear the entrance exams, that it’s necessary to know the types of courses that you could get yourself registered in.

Full-time PGDM
The best that could be, is getting into a full-time PGDM course. With regular classes at a PGDM college, you will also get to see new people, learn firsthand from distinguished people, be able to discuss, give your own ideas, question ideas that have been long into acceptance, get industrial exposure, read and discuss case studies, and a lot more. It’s not just about studying, but quite an experience to get a full-time PGDM.

Part-Time PGDM
While getting full-time PGDM in Ahmedabad, or any city of your choice should be the first choice, you might not be able to leave your job for some reason, or any personal responsibilities, or due to any other factor, you might want to get a Part-time PGDM. Because you’re still attending all the classes with this one, but spread across a larger period of time, you’ll find the duration of the course a bit prolonged. There are many AICTE approved colleges that provide a Part-time PGDM.

Distance learning PGDM
Then, there is this way of getting a PGDM where you will have the convenience of studying every day, at whatever time you would like, and not be required to attend most of the classes, except there might be a Sunday class or weekend classes where you could get your doubts cleared by the assigned faculty member. The course here would be same as the full-time course, and the content would remain the same; except the structure of the program would differ in both the cases.

Online PGDM Programs
Similar to distance-learning, where you could study from your home, and choose the time that you find most comfortable to study in, only here you would have to do it on your PC. This would require you to pay for an online course offered by a reputed institute, and join the course. There might be live video lectures that you could attend, through the website, or via apps like Skype, and get to talk and have discussions with the teacher and other participating students. But, usually it’s not really necessary, and if you miss any class, you would be still able to download the lecture from the school’s website.
